Fishing Bald Head Island

Fishing Bald Head Island

We had a blast fishing at Bald Head Island!

We had the please of visiting Bald Head island, North Carolina every year with her half of the family.

This year was extremely special to us for many reasons.

Claudia and I were celebrating the overcoming of a personal situation. It was also the first beach trip with our niece ( Norah) and Nephew (Ezra).

OH YEA... BTW... We bought a boat!!! Check out our boat here

More adventures with the boat coming soon.

Claudia and I have had an ocean fishing obsession for the last 3 years and we thought we should step up our fishing game on the place we have visited for years.

The first few days of the trip were spent fishing the back canals and creeks from the shore. We used all kinds of bait but found that live shrimp, frozen squid, and artificial Gulp shrimp worked the best. We caught all kinds of species... ( sharks, tons of flounder, Crockers, ETC.... No red fish...

We also caught hella Flounder on the beach next to the harbor channel on the rising tide. See map below to see where we caught fish. Map by Onx
